RBTA with stringy tentacles and half closed? Need help

My RBTA has recently closed about half way and the tentacles are getting thin and stringy. The anemone is about 8" in diameter and just a couple weeks ago I acquired a Maroon clownfish pair so the Female has been really pushing the anemone but the anemone has not shown these signs until yesterday. So question is do you think it is the female maroon clownfish even though they have been fine for a couple weeks or something else?

I have had the anemone for a few months now in perfect health. I have yet to feed my anemone which I have been meaning to do, maybe that has something to do with it??

Water parameters are fine.

Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How long has it been closed?

I feed my nems about 2-3 times a week.

I actually just closed. It has been half closed with stringy tentacles for a couple days now. It is hard to see the mouth but it doesn't appear to be gaping or open.

I may try to put a net over the area to allow the anemone to rest from the maroon clownfish. It was fine for over a week though.

I guess I should start feeding my anemone. So what is the regular food?

Thanks

I've had mine close for 2 days and then return to normal. If you feed it, just use a piece of (as ds4x4 said shrimp, silverside, clams, etc) a little smaller than the size of it's mouth. Put it near it's mouth and the tentacles should do the rest. Do you have a picture?
