I upgraded my tank about 3 weeks ago now, and at first the anemone stayed put, but now it has been moving around every night. Well 2 days ago it decided to put itself on the glass next to the powerhead. Well to prevent it from being sucked in I put nylon over the powerhead. It is still there now, so should I leave it be and hope it moves or should I move it from there and put it on the side of the tank where it hasn't been to see if it likes that side better? I just don't want it to get sucked up or for it to get hurt. Ive had the anenome since early january.

Why don't you just move the powerhead?

Because everything else in the tank is setup around the flow that the powerhead produces. Moving the powerhead may make my areas with low flow have high flow and vice versa, which may require me to move other corals

Then maybe it needs a place to settle near the power head. My RBTAs like a lot of flow. Most are clustered together under the return and near the MP40. There is only one that split off from the group and it is near the other side of the tank but also settled in a high flow area from the second MP40.

There are lots of areas for it to go where it can have a high flow, it just has never ventured to any of those areas

yeah, well they are fickle… they will roam until they find a place where they are happy. Usually a combination of feeling safe with good lighting and good flow. Also, it seems mine will settle where the current brings food to them.

Did you change your lights or lighting in the upgrade? What are your parameters? I would definately leave the powerhead covered, especially if it's on the move.
