They have been in the tank now for at least 3 or 4 months now, and it was only last week when the split occurred with the larger one. There are two smaller ones that have been in there just as long. With the two smaller ones, they are very low in the tank which to me seemed a little unusual if they are indeed mojanos. From much of what I was able to find about the mojanos, they really like to stay up towards the top nearest the light, multiply quickly, and spread all over. These have always stayed within a few inches of their original location in our tank. The larger one was originally much lower in the tank but on the same rock; and after we moved, thats where I put that rock and the anemone hasn't moved more than a half an inch before the split occurred. The two smaller ones haven't grown hardly at all since they entered the tank and have stayed really low and close to the same areas. All three were put in there at the same time, so I know that the smaller didn't come from the larger (at least not while in our tank).
I do agree that if the larger ones are BTAs, they are much smaller than any that I have normally seen. They are bigger than nickle size though, maybe a little bigger than a quarter.
I question whether they are BTAs due to the size, but I question whether or not they are mojanos due to the fact they really dont seem to match up to much of what I have been able to find about mojanos.
