i have the opertunity to buy a 5 or so inch RBTA for my 135....how hardy are they???? do they move around alot???

Mine moved around quite a bit before settling down...including a powerhead incident. It is happy now under PC's. Keep your water clean and don't overfeed. I have not had a problem with my GBTA (Sold when I moved 9mo after purchase) and my RBTA (2 months).

They will move around a little until they find a spot that they like, It's always best to get one early in a tank before you have too many corals attached that they might harm while they wander... or if they decide they want to put down roots right next door.

If you're not able to do this, you might put a small area of rocks separate from the other rockwork in your tank. They won't travel across sand.

They do really well in most tanks as long as you keep your params up.

Does $135 seem a little steep to anyone else though?

Free is a great price.

Like everyone mentioned, it'll move till it finds a nice spot ususlly out of the flow and in a hole.

I got lucky and where I placed the RBTA, is where it stayed. Several months later it decided to take a walk and lost several corals.

they are pretty hardy, what i've seen but it is good to have good param's to begin with and ample lighting.... mine has hardly moved after it found its happy spot....although it did kill a candy cane and a patch of GSP lol

not any more :( the guys anemone that he was suppossed to give me got caught in a powerhead and was destroyed last night :(
