ahhhhh, that's terrible news if it's true. I was under the impression previously that they were. I really wanted an interruptus from them!

been following there site for a years now, but everytime i check it, they always say check back next year. i checked back this year and as you know they said they are not selling marine angels this year.
i do like their site though and its very interesting! guess try again in a year lol

Copps probably does.
It is a shame this guy is the only person in the world that is able to do what he has done and has dropped off the face of the planet for lack of a better term. Angels are my favorite fish but until Frank gets these reefsafe specimens going again I am not risking my corals. I would love an iterruptus or debelius or even a resplendent. My wallet wouldn't like it though.

FWIW, just becasue they were captive bred doesn't mean they were "reef-safe". Since they were brought up on prepared diets, they're less likely to go about picking at things, but they're still angels and that's what angels do
Any of the species you mentioned, even wild caught, wouldn't be that prone to "destroy" coral, but they might pick. Of course, GL finding one

I had contacted Frank before because I was seriously considering ordering an interruptus from him. He assured me that his fish would not so much as look at a coral. That was pretty much verified by a few people on the board that had them in their tanks. Not saying you are wrong but just thought I would state where I got that idea.
That extra premium they charge can go towards more challenging species.. or just for conservationally challenged specimens.

Last time I checked Franks prices were much better than their wildcaught counterparts.

I have a pair of Franks Interruptus and they do pick but with no damage.
I also have a trio of his hybrid fisheri/resplenda and 1 of the hybrids is a beast when it comes to picking at corals. The other 2 do not do any damage.
With all that being said, I would add them to my tank again in a heart beat.

It's great to see all of the support for what Frank has done... years ago for every one of his supporters there were ten complaining about his prices. Now people are cheering for him to come back (including me!). Reminds me of the old Cinderella song "Don't know what you got till it's gone".

Wow! thanks for this info. His photo's are incredible. I am usually not big on photography but my jaw hit the floor on some of those.
