Re----scape often

I came home and was looking at my tank and have decided that I should move a couple rocks around. As my corals have grown, I need the extra space and would like a change of scenery. The problem that I face is once I start time just seems to pass me by and before I know it 6 hours have passed.

I'm looking for ideas on landscaping any pics / links would be helpful.
I know many of you have ran into this problem before.

It would be nice for some kind of sticky reguarding landscaping a reef tank.

I go through that about once a month! The 6 hour comment made me giggle, I average about 4-5. :)

I hate aquascaping, thats why I take the sweet time we all do, in the hopes that I never have to do it again, I take 4-5hrs, cracking my head trying to figure what "LOOKS GOOD" and at the same time, have space, caves, & pleanty of coral mounting space. GL!!

I hate it as well, trouble is as our corals grow some of them don't play nice. One other thing, I seem to always come across a nice piece that I must place in the tank.
If I just had a bigger tank that would solve some of my problems, then again it would open a can of worms with the better half .
So I have to make due.

Sometimes I wish I could aquascape some you guys' tanks. I see some tanks on here that need it badly. I have become very happy with mine - and hope I never have a OCD kick and change it.

LMAO, I totally agree w the OCD kick cause it is soo true, inspite of the fact that I hate to aquascape, lol!!

I'm tellin' ya! Sometimes it's like fantasy football - when you pull off a trade just to pull off a trade. It's totally OCD - but I built a pretty nice reef-like structure of live rock & I'm not touching it.

I hand pick all my live rock looking for pieces with nice jaggedy shapes and small pieces to do this and that with to form a good looking reef. I think I have gotten pretty good at it, honestly.

Ok, Now we must see these scapes you two are talking about.. You know the ones that you'll never have to rearrange again....

Ok - here's mine. 54g Corner - about 50lbs live rock w/ a cave in the front middle that is hollow up thru the reef. It's got some flat surfaces to mount some acropora. I've really enjoyed the first almost 3 months of it.

i have pillars in my 220 and i like the look of it alot, although i see a problem already. its hard to add rock with coral on in and its hard in general to add coral due to everything going upward. i think i might make a "pile"of sorts on 1 side of my tank

Nice job guys, I'm after something like that myself. I'm halfway through doing mine and will post pics tomorrow when its cleared up.
