Re-using TBS Packing water?

Has anyone made use of the water the TBS package comes in?

I poured it into a bucket and noticed many micro critters with lights off and a flash light.

I was thinking about using it a little at a time, on the filter feeders. I have been airing it with an air pump, so it won't go bad.

Any thoughts on this?:reading:

I didn't use the water but I did use a sifter to sift through the debris and pulled out some mini stars and some other little things from it.

What did you use to sift the water?

I had on old pool leaf skimmer that worked great. Anything meshy. Maybe head down to the hardware and get some replacement storm door mesh and you can make one pretty easy.

I used a pasta strainer, my mom didn't appreciate it.

Paper coffee filter can work great if you want to catch the micro life.

I live in tampa so I use part of the water rich packs with...

at most it's "packed" for a few hours till I get it
