Reactor Media Slurry

Hi folks, I just rinsed my old and new media in my calcium reactor and was wondering what to do with the leftover slurry. Could I drip it in my sump like kalkwasser? I rinsed the media in RO water. I don't want to just throw it out, after all isn't this the same as the effuluent that exits the reactor?

Don't do it...

salutations dgunn, from what i have read on the different calcium reactor instructions> it say's to never re-use the leftover media, it is better thrown away/out, hope this helps'...

Thanks for the response.
I know that it is not worthwhile to reinstall the mushy old media as it will clog the reactor. What I would like to do is dose the rinse water that is rich in CaCo3. '

The reactor media is now (and was) sand. It won't help with calcium or alk levels, but can be nice aesthetically. The low pH breaks it down over time, which shrinks the grain size.
