Can anyone please explain why a high coefficient is so good for fishing and is this usually a good rule of thumb or just something that is generalized?
Everything matters and actually the best time to fish is an hour before high tide to 1 hr after i actually have good luck when the tide is more stable say a high tide of 3.5 with a low tide of 2.5 also right before dawn or before sunset
Also need to be familiar with the area that you are fishing. Some areas fish better during low tide and others during high tide. I agree with sb though, one hour before and up to one hour after seems to produce the most fish for me.
Some people even get technical as to moon phase but i dont get that technical .....bait is a big issue to and like was stated the most imprtant thing to me is location ...... Try fishing the palos verdes shore that is fun
