Ready for mandarin?

My 125 gallon tank with 30 gallon sump is infested with pods! I mean it looks like it is snowing in my tank, and every one I see on the glass has an egg sac. I went to use the mag float yesterday and I had to be careful not to squish them as they were ALL over the glass  I'm thinking my rocks are so porous (pukani rock) that they are breeding like mad inside the rocks! Just wondering if a mandarin could possibly be my first fish as the food supply is abundant. I will be getting some chaeto for the sump shortly as well.

Should be good: BUT, set up a fuge in that sump with sand and live rock AND cheato to back it up fairly soon: you'll be amazed how many pods a mandy can eat.

sounds good. I was actually planning on sectioning off a section of my sump with some eggcrate and adding LR and chaeto. I have a pretty deep sand bed in the DT with reeflakes and I believe the pods are breeding there as well. The substrate size is a little larger than other sands and I can see them going in and out of the crevices. So fun to watch really!
