Alright, I'm not to sure of the truthfulness of this but first i just figured i had some small GBTA's and they were taking a while to grow. Someone than said to me no, there are such things as Mini BTA's they just stay small.

Has about oh, 20 or so in my old tank and when i upgrade and transferred tanks i tried to sell off as many as possible but some made the trip and and are still living in my tank. Well I have about 8-10 of them kinda hanging out in my tank and I dont want them anymore. Cause I have a nice RBTA that has found a nice place to sit.

Is there anyway to remove these small BTA's from the rocks? As much as I hate to ask is there anyway to kill them off, though im sure killing them might do something to my tank water.

I wonder this because one of the BTA's is getting close to and stinging a Acan that is encrusting on a rock and i can't remove the frag now.

I'm sure they're bubble tips no worries.

Sounds like majano anemones to me, which is considered a pest.
The Majano anemone can often times have bubbly tips.

You said you are sure they are bubble tips, that's a generic term generally applied to e. quadricolor. In this case my suspicion is you have the majano infestation!

Or majano's. Aiptasia doesn't look at all like BTAs, on there other
hand, majanos kinda look like a tiny BTA.

Im going to try to clafiy this without offending anyone.

I know what I'm talking about, these are BTA's, doesn't look anything like a Majano or Aiptasia

If it was an aiptasia I would kill it with my AiptasiaX.

Its a bubble tip because they're green with pink/purple tips.
When i say mini I mean they are about 2" across.

I was messing around with that last post, but apparently my friendly banter was one sided. Was just showing that they can have a large color range. Serious business everyone, watch out!

To answer your oringial question, people use ice cubes and direct power head flow to get anemones off of non smooth surfaces.

Friendly banter, Mocking, its all hard to distinguish through the internet, i was just stating that I started this thread for another issue, which no one ever tried to answer.

If the Group consensus is that is a majano than ill just kill it, it really is fine with me, already nuked them with aiptasiaX they're withering away.

:eek1: :sad2: Youll be lucky if that many anemones that size dont nuke your tank.

Also to answer your original question removing a mojano and removing a bubble tip are two totally different processes, when you ask for help you need to have patience. This whole thing could have been solved by using the search tab or by giving us appropriate info to help you out. Now you have a possible tank crash on your hands. They are not mini bubble tips they look llike regular bubble tips that wont grow over two inches without a stress induced split.

I may have gotten a head of myself on the whole nuking them i just wanted to be done with this thread, and since you gave me an answer that was more than a sentence long saying OMG is a majano. I appreciate it.

What do you mean giving you appropriate info? i said it was a BTA and you agree with me it seems. So what did I leave out?

Read your first post again you said it was sold to you as a mini bta but you didnt know if there was such a thing. So I asked for pics to get a positive id I would have been happy to take all those bubble tips off your hands and your tank wouldnt have had any threat.

Alright I understand where your coming from.
They weren't sold to me as mini BTA's they were sold to me as BTA's. Someone else had told me they were mini BTA's.

I thank you for sticking around and atleast clarifying for me that it is indeed a BTA.

The rock that the BTA's are on, cannot be removed from the tank, what are my options in removing these from my tank? Because if i can remove them without them being harmed i would consider possibly sending them to you as i've never attempted shipping living creatures before.
