really loud pump

I bought a quiet one 9000 for my return and it is really loud. This pump is rated at 2328gph and a 19' max head. I really wasn't getting enought flow out of it. I have to pump up 12' from basement and my overflow is rated for 1500gph. I don't know if I should get the next model up or go with a different brand pump. Make a recommendation. I want a pump that is energy efficient.

go with a different brand. maybe a magdrive18 or 24, or even better would be a external pump like a iwaki 70. Im not sure how big your tank is but you shouldnt need a 1500gph turnover for filtration. add powerhead-type pumps for flow.

Buy a more expensive pump, with a LOW watt rating, in a few months you will pay off the extra $100-200 you paid.

I got some pm's asking for more details. My tank is 90gal, plumbing length 13', 12' vertical, 1 90 degrees bend, I want the return to flow out of 4 different heads from manifold. I'm typing this from cell phone, sorry about spelling errors if any.

I got a mag36 if your interested?its not real energy efficent.
