Here are some pic.
Sal 1.025
Alk 10.2
Cal 450
Nit, Ammo, Pho are all 0
I am running GFO and Carbon
I do water changes ever 2 wks Also have Genesis water changer does 1 gal every 7 hrs. Tank is 6wks old do a full reinstall Any Ideas.

I've never seen that, maybe someone more experienced will chip in and say what it is and offer a better solution, but I am always a fan of doing a 3-day blackout once a month for three months. Blues on the fourth day with a water change to try and manually suck up any algae that is weakened.

Nothing in this hobby happens fast, so it may take a few months but if you keep up with water changes you'll get the algae under control.

But like I said, I don't know what kind of algae that is, if it is algae, so maybe someone else can lend more information.

I still can't see the stuff well enough to identify it.

I'd also have to question the water change schedule. Why is so much water being changed? What are you trying to accomplish...an SPS low nutrient reef?

I don't see a heavy fish load.

Water changes could be fueling algae growth. What happens if you stop the continuous 7 hour change?
Get the SG to 1.026 and topoff with kalkwasser for evap.
Run a great skimmer. See what happens.

I know one thing.. you'll save a lot of money on saltmix!

ID build an algae scrubber? checked your TDS on your RoDi output? Has the Genesis been running since the recent rebuild day 1?

Looks like cyano to me also. What testing kits are you using. Your tests may not be as accurate as you think. What size tank and what livestock do you have? What and how often do you feed fish/corals? How old is the system? Do you have a sump and running a skimmer, what size? Why are you changing approx 3g per day? That is 21g per week. Is that more or less than 10% of your total water volume? Knowing all this will help us to help you get better answers ;)

If you did reuse your old sand did you rinse it very well? In either case new or old did you let the tank cycle before re-adding livestock?

It will supplement alk and calcium and will also increase PH, you don't have to do it, probably not really important. main thing i would do is siphon it out and hold off on doing more water changes.

I looked up your profile and saw you have a 180g, sump size and fuge. Sump is a "little" small IME but hat isn't the issue. 2.5g wc per day is ok for a 180 but 3 is maybe a little too much if you have a small bioload. I don't believe this caused your algae problem. Check your tests with another brand from what you have now, I think they're wrong. The "algae" you have looks more bacterial than algae and I would bet it'cyano. You need a really good skimmer and tons of flow in all areas of your tank. And if it were me I would upgrade that sump to at least a 55g. Siphon the cyano out being careful not to stir it up too much. Now some will agree with me and some will not.... this is up to you but i would also do chemiclean but in 1/2 the recommended dosage. If you choose this route;
1) Do not let it filter through your fuge
2) turn off skimmer, gac & gfo. Do not attempt to run your skimmer until about 20+ gallons have been changed after treatment.
3) shorten light schedule
4) after 3 days of treatment change out gac and gfo & turn on. This should be running a couple of days before the skimmer comes back online.
5) When skimmer comes back online run it open for several hours because it will be overflowing but it'll stop.
6) after a couple of days running the skimmer, you can add the fuge back to the system.
7) Return to old light schedule slowly.

Been here done this. It works. I have an sps dominant, mixed reef that is doing well. Haven't lost a fish or coral to this process. Best of luck
