Reattaching Toadstool?

I was forced to remove my 7" toadstool from the rock it was attached. The stalk was too tough to cut till at least halfway up. I tried gluing to a rock, but it just released when it expanded. Then tried running toothpicks through the base, but the stalk just tore where the toothpicks went through.
Long story short, there is now hardly any base left on the coral.
How can I get it to attach to another rock? Rubberbands across the top?

Two suggestions:
1) try rubber band. If the LR is too large for that you could try fishing line.
2) place in a Tupperware container with some LR in a low flow area and let it attach itself.

You can also buy a roll of Tool at a craft store. (think wedding veil)

Put the tool over the toadstool and rubberband the tool to the rock.

I think Dave means Tulle. Just incase you're looking for it online.

Like the Mal avatar btw.
