Matted Filefish - Acreichthys tomentosus - is what you want if you want to control or eradicate Aiptasia. They are hit or miss though with corals. I've owned one for a couple years and it more or less left most of my corals alone. Mostly soft corals though with the only LPS being hammer corals. I would see it pick on the hammer from time to time but nothing more than it could recover from. I would also see it pick on my Kenya tree. Again, it was able to manage itself and was never in jeopardy. The Matted Filefish made short work of my Aiptasia problem. It wasn't noticeable per say but over the course of a week I started to see them in decline visually. About two months in I didn't see any.
It would eat pellets, mysis, brine script and even nori. Cool fish, peaceful, changed colors based on what it was near. Slow swimmer, no aggression at all. Would still have it to this day if it didn't start picking on my Xenia

I just put a frag in and it started to pick on it. That couldn't recover fast enough so as odd as it sounds I packed up the fish and turned it in for credit
My guess based on what mine did is that it will pick at various corals. Feed it well, daily, and you may have a better chance. It will hunt Aiptasia regardless which is what you want. But mine more or less left everything else alone. I also used a automatic fish feeder with a mix of pellets and flake. It ran in the morning and afternoon just to drop a few bits in...
