Rebirth - 1500l

Wow, Alex. What can I say? Your corals, every single one of them without exception, are beautiful. "Hyacinthus pink green" and "Aculeus blue" are particularly stunning. I have never seen a colourful suharsonoi as colourful as your before. The list goes on ....

On a side note, "humilis green" is actually not A. humilis.

What are your latest water test results?

Bulent,
A friend, owner of a LFS, told me that I'm the only person capable of make that suharsonoi got this color under LED light (PS: he hates leds...lol) .....

About humilis, someone told me that my aculeus isn't an aculeus, as my echinata green thin isn't an echinata too.....and I believe it....:headwally:

I'm terrible with acro identification so, as we say here in Brasil,"I sell the fish the same way I bought it."
I have a lot of acros that have a wrong species identification. And I keep it that way....and fell bad about it.......
That "humilis"......do you think that A. samoensis, applies better?

I'm testing heavilly latelly....
I'm keeping my Alk between 7,9~8,5, for the past 3 months....really nice and stable and the corals are happy with it.

The rest is:

Ca - 430
K - 430
NO3 - 7ppm (raised from 0,2 ppm after a dose os Sodium nitrate)

And this is basically what I'm testing right now.

Gorgeous Alex!
Beautiful shots!

Thanks Matt!
I was inspired that day......and got some really nice shots.

Incredible - good skills dude! [emoji1303]

Alex - unbelievable update pics! The tank looks unreal. So beautiful!

Thanks man!
The tank is coming back...

Alex,

I've been staying updated with your tank on youtube and I forgot how much I like your photography. Your tanks is looking great!

Alex, glad to see everything is still looking great, if not better every time you post. Have you taken any par numbers at all? I'd be interested to see what kind of par your corals are getting.

Tom,
Not in this setup....
In my previous setup I borrowed a PAR meter from a friend and did take some measures but, honestly, I forgot the values.....
I think that some corals are getting PAR at 400~500....and others in the 150~250 range....I didn't pay much attention to that.

The best thing of having a large (and wide) tank is the possibility of a "3D layout"....

Alex, I am running out adjectives to describe how magnificent your tank looks. I think there is one thing missing in your tank though and that is a clam.

As for aiptasia, I would recommend a file fish. As you do not have fleshy corals, i.e. LPS, you should be OK.

About the filefish , I'm thinking about to get one but....I do have acans, trumpets, frogs and hammers, favias.....I don't know if it's the way to go...

I'm about to get a CBB (another one....) and this particular one is eating aiptasias in the LFS...
Let's see...

Thanks for the clam photos, Alex. I would not get any of the fish because filefish will decimate your acans and the copper band will nip at clam mantles. Your best bet seems to be lots of peppermint shrimps.
