Rebuilding a cracked small tank?

Broke another 29 gallon while building my sump. I could KILL!!!! Ultimately, only myself to blame. BUT, now that I have 2 cracked tanks, I have all the building blocks for another tank.

How hard is it to get the plastic frames off of the top and bottom of these tanks?
how do I deconstruct them?

Thanks

It is pretty hard to remove the plastic i soaked one in mineral spirits once to remove it, its hard not to damage the tank

Just thinking out loud. I could kill someone I'm so upset with myself for breaking another one. It really sounds like a PITA.

Where'd you see the $1/gallon sale?

Cripes! There was one like smile from my house but it closed. Didn't realize there were others. I'm helpless today. Probably should have done a search. I am finishing up the plumbing for the mixing vats and feed line back to the tank for water changes. Not a total loss but still with the delays......

Is the sale really going on now I haven't been able to find any information about it on their site? I need to get a 30G Breeder because I did the same thing. For $30 it just isn't worth the hassle to fix it.

istn petco having a dollar per gallon right now, imo i rather just spend 30 bucks then try to mess around.

I replaced the side panel on my 40 breeder without taking off the top trim. I lost a touch of max capacity doing it. I'll pull the link out of my build thread to
Oreos if I remember. Panel was $15-20 plus $5 in silicone. For my breeder at well Ove $100 to replace when it already had baffles in was worth it. If you can $1/gallon it that would be wiser. Depending on glass thickness maybe you can use the extra glass for baffles :)

IMO certainly not worth the risk/headache. Just pick up where you left off and go get a tank Mark, you'll be glad you did.
