Received wrong order-a Haddoni was in the box

I received this haddoni by mistake last Friday. It has been in my 29g QT for a week now.
I may give it to a friend. I have a nice healthy gig, and plenty of small fish.
When I first fed him I was surprised how fast it reacted. It ate the piece of shrimp 3 seconds.
I placed it in a 3" diameter 6' long pvc pipe with 5" of sand, and it has stayed put.
I probably have to much flow to keep him happy. I am so tempted to place him in DT to see if I do have a low flow area. It is hard to tell with tank BB.

What do you think? Try to add him, or save headache and give him to friend?

Looks like a nice haddoni though:) Id keep him to see if there is a spot it likes. But I guess I gamble a bit. One thing that is more important than flow, because I dnot think that will be to big a problem, is do you have the space. They grow quickly and to large sizes. If its scrammed in there now I wouldnt keep it. Because it will get much larger than it is now.

I treated with cipro just incase I decide to add in DT. I did not want to take any chances with gig. I have enough room in one spot for at least 20" or more. I just do not know if he would stay in that spot. He has not left the pvc pipe in QT.

The pvc pipe is 3" in diameter. Would the haddoni stay happy in this size pipe?
I have a large gap in rocks, and could lay the pipe down horizontal and slide pipe towards back under the rocks.

I would find a way to shield that heater so the Haddoni can't come in contact with it. Perhaps behind that egg crate.

I would love to have one of those, but that day is several years in the future.

I would, but the heater never comes on. It stays at a good temp because summer time, and it is in a stairway that is rarely used so I turned off ac vents.

I got one from the lfs 2 weeks ago --- it ate a baby shark --- they do like to eat fish so be careful --- i did the cipro also its in my dt now
