D7000/Sigma 105mm.

Do you think I will be able to get similar photos using a Sigma 50mm, but everything would just have to be closer to the lens?

I used to use a 60mm, results were similar just the 105mm makes life easier and has more reach into the tank. So yes, I'm sure it's possible.

Your photographing skill is amazing. Especially pics of the fishes. Did you hold your camera or you use tripod when you take those pictures?

Aaron. How do you take pictures like that without using tripod???? I must stop drinking to help my hands from shaking when taking pictures of my tank. lol......

Fast shutter and the aperture wide open, I often shoot at f3.5. Try holding your breath as you take the shot.

OG is about 300 miles away, these are all from my LFS. I'm planning a trip up there in January with a friend. We're doing several of the shops in the area.
