Recently re-aquascaped 55 Pics....

Hey guys,
I have been working on this tank for awhile now, but think I finally have the set-up I am looking for. A month ago I posted some pics of my tank, and thank you for all the compliments, but decided to re-aquascape to set up for a shallow water reef design. So here it goes, I have a 55 main tank, mixed reef, mostly sps and a good sized Crocea clam on the upper shelf of my reef. I also have a 20 gallon sump with a euro reef skimmer(rated for a 90gallon), and a mag 9.5 for the return. I have a refugium located behind the maintank. I pump water out of the maintank with a penguin 1140, and overflow from the refugium straight down into the sump. I light my maintank with a 6x54 watt t5 setup w/ ind. reflectors, using 3x10k, and 3x420nm blue. I light the refugium w/ 4x65 pc's. Please feel free to give honest constructive feedback, as I am still learning in my reef journey. Thank you for taking the time to view.

thanks playa0069u,
back at you, doing a great job with your tank as well. The refugium captivates my interests equally to the main tank. I find crazy things in there that I know I never bought specifically, but hitched along the way with macro and live rock. Thanks again playa....

Thanks again,
I originally designed a shelf for the clam, it attached almost instantly, and has been happy ever since.

Perry, nice tank...just re-aquascaped my 55 as well (had to move it from its original location so I could start setting up the 120). Funny, how that works, just as I'm getting ready to get rid of it, I'm finally happy w/ how it looks :)

wardworld,
I know what you mean, I have tried to perfect my current situation, only to want to change and go bigger...

It's funny you say that, earlier this evening my son said something about when he goes to college that I should get a 300 gal (how he thinks I can pay for both, I don't know). My wife chimed in that at that point, it might be her or the tank :)
Actually, she's a tremendous help - couldn't have done the move w/out her.
....but a 220 does sound interesting ;)
