Recommendations for a dremel tool for frag usage.

I don't know what you are planning to frag with it, which may make a difference. However, I have been using an extremely cheap dremel for fraging my torch and hammers and it has worked fine. The cuting blades are the only problem I run in to. The cheapo ones wear out quick. The dremel I use was like $10 bucks new and the cutting wheels I am talking about came with it. So unless you are going to be cutting some really dense stuff I think you will be fine with whatever. And honestly unless you are someone who frags with a dremel non-stop I don't think it is worth spending more on one. Cause you probably wont be able to wear out the dremel its self just from fragging.

If you want the best bang for your buck have you considered a wet tile saw? A cheep one works better than an expensive dremel in my opinion. You'll be able to cut deeper and the water reservoir allows for active cooling where as dremels can get pretty hot and burn the tissue of the coral you're cutting.

I use the cordless Dremel tool in link #1.

It came with a tote bag and a box of attachments. I've never needed a diamond rotary blade- coral skeleton are fairly easy to cut through.

I agree.

If you're cutting Acans, closed brains and chalices the wet tile saw is probably a better choice.

I think I might go with the $27 one. I don't have large tanks at the moment, so I won't be doing a ton of stony fragging... just a little here and there. Once I get going, I might go with one of the cheaper tile saws. do you guys use saltwater in the saw instead of FW, hehe?

I use saltwater in the reservoir and then just give everything a good rinse in freshwater when I'm done. I bought my tile saw with two 7" diamond blades for $60 CAD.

+1 to where as well I thought they would cost tons of money just cause they look fancy lol. As far as the dremel series go id get the dremel 200. With a diamond cutting wheel with cooling holes in the blade dremel should be no more than 40 and blade no more the 15

Yup I bought that same one with two blades at Princess Auto on sale. Their stuff isn't the best quality but obviously running saltwater in them is pretty damaging so I wouldn't want to buy an expensive one anyways.
