Recourse

What did you buy Adam ??? Is it something that can possibly be repaired or is it a total loss ??? Where does the guy live, we can always take a road trip and see if his stance changes face to face. :)

It wasn't on this site...it was a 68/4500 HPA tank with what I was told by PB Explosion to be a stress crack. My arm, possibly my life, isn't worth $110. I should get a lawyer and see what they think about the guy selling me a potential bomb without even telling me. I'm sure you know how dangerous a 4500 tank can be if that thing should fail. And the fact that the store wouldn't fill it is pretty good proof that product was misrepresented.

thats why you never buy used paintball tanks unless in person. Same thing happened to me. dispute it through your credit card company and deauthorize your paypal account with a written letter also sent by certified mail that they are no longer allowed to access anymore of your financial information.

Did you take it in to have it hydrotested, or when you tried to fill it you found a leak ???

I can dig around my garage and see if I have any spare tanks for you...... Ill let you know.

That reminds me I gotta go get my 88/4500 from the store that I left it at to be tested. :D

What kinda marker are you shooting Adam ??? Did you talk to Brian across the hall about it ??? He is who got me into paintball, used to be the manager of Fox paintball and can usually get great deals.

I have a PMR with a UL frame...nothing too fancy but it is nice for what I use it for. I'm waiting on the hydro though since I'm getting some response from my credit card company in case I need to send it anywhere. I took it to PB Explosion and Action Paintball and they both didn't feel comfortable filling it. Pic below is what the "crack" looks like. It isn't on the surface but underneath the surface.

I haven't taken the regulator off yet..I just ordered a new tank though to be safe. After the whole credit card situation is figured out I'll decide what I want to do with it, they might want it back so I'm not going to send it out anywhere yet.

yep had the same situation on here with "NanoBen".
advertised a Reef Octo DDNW 150 with a maxi feed pump.

got the skimmer, pump wasnt in the box, pm'd & emailed him (the title for the pm's & email was maxi pup for my skimmer )for a month, with finally saying if i didnt have the pump by the end of the week i would file a paypal claim.

he sent me a Rio 180 and some tubing that wont even fit over the nozzle. his response was sorry he was mistaken and thought it was a maxi jet.
i filed a dispute with paypal and was told since he sent a pump then it didnt fit their criteria for a dispute. they said only if something wasnt shipped, not the quality of the item.

my response was that the pump wasnt shipped.

so now i have to call my credit card company and dispute that.
i am done with paypal. i will never sell anything on ebay again either, now they require electronic payments only (read paypal only, which they own), no money orders, no cashiers checks, no personal checks. AND they get to say how much you can charge to ship something.

and i have to finish my 90 days here so i can post negative feedback for him as well as leave positive for all the others who been great.

Paypal is a joke...basically if you sell a Rolex watch and then actually just ship a brick Paypal won't do anything. I don't understand their protection plan at all.

So my credit card company is going to refund my money but they want me to send the merchandise back to PayPal Returns Attn: Chargeback Returns. Does this mean PayPal is now going to come after me for the money/close my account/become a PITA???
