I have something that looks like red hair algae and hopefully these will help the issue. It's hard to compare if mine is the same as yours since you photographed your rock out of the water.

Jeni, I'll take a couple of those snails if any left. I have that algae but only in my cube tank?! Kind of weird since both tanks are plumbed together.
