I will say my son had a terrible outbreak of redslime algea. It took some time and about 5 treatments of cemi clean and cutting the time his lights are on each day from 10 hours to 8 hours.I know alot of people are against putting chemicals n there tanks but we tried about everything else.I know it says from excess feeding but he does not feed much at all and he keeps water very clean. He does a water change every week about 15 gal out of a 72 gal tank. Also we ran a UV steralizer for about a month or so. Hope this helps some Scott
I had some of that reb bubble stuff, I caught it when it was just starting. I pulled out the rock it was on and scrubbed it off with a toothbrush in tank water and it never came back.
aw geez, I have that too. It's branching. I kind of like it, and have made no attempts to remove it.
Reading the article... says it will reproduce sexually. So, I guess it wouldn't be good to have.
