Red bugs only infest smooth-skinned acropora ?

Hello everyone,

I read somewhere that Red bugs only infest smooth-skinned acropora?
is that true? which acropora is smooth skin anyway?
I have a california tort and green slimmer. Are those considered smooth skin?
Will Red Bug infest those two corals?

I would say yes the Cali tort I'd a smooth Skin acro maybe not the green slimer though. I think that red bugs are just more likely gonna go after smooth skin across but may very well attack others too.

they can infest ANY ACRO.

they seem to go after smooth skinned ones first.

you should dip corals you get, instead of trying to get corals that would be effected by Red bugs last.

at least to me, it seems like Red bug and AEFW are hyped too much, causing everyone to think they have them at first sight of problwm with SPS ... while 3 years ago we used to go after qater quality an stability when Issues arised.

PS. slimers are the last to be effected by RBs IMHO
