Red Bugs?

I have what I believe are red bugs. Don't know where they came from, but most likely a hitchhiker. What do people suggest to get rid of them.

Thanks.

Unfortunately there are many people who have them and are unaware of them. They have been spread over the past few years like wildfire. I suggest reading the articles in the sps forum regarding the interceptor treatment.

So what are the results if I don't treat for them? I have mostly LPS and softies. Everything in the tank looks great.

I was looking at your pics in your gallery and I didn't see any sps but I wasn't sure how recent they were. If you don't have sps then I wouldn't worry about red bugs. Now the question is what is it you see??? Can you describe them?

I am having my wife dig up the camera so I can take some pics. I don't have sps because I make them brown sticks. They just look like redish oblong dots all over the substrate and a few rocks.

Brown sticks are better than white ones ;) Hopefully with some pics of them someone on here will know.

flatworms maybe?

I'm with Waverz on this one. I was under the impression that red bugs were only on SPS.

Here's a pic of some redbugs

He had pics and I am lazy!!! :D

I retrack my earlier post. Everyone do not read my last post. Waverz knocked this one out of the park. haha

Flat worm exit and some natural predators (6 line wrasse) seem to clear flat worms. Much better to have than red bugs.

Oooooohhh. This gives me a reason to buy a new fish. I know my pod count is up there. I let my wife read this from Atticus and all I have to do is let her buy a new pair of shoes. Oh happy day.
