yeah those are the only 2 i have seen that have that nice deep color, everyone elses seems to be really pale and have a different growth pattern than the momma. someone will chime in soon.

what lighting do you have it under(t5 led, mh), spectrum(10k,12k,14k,20k), brand bulbs( rediums, pheniox aqua blue) and where is the placement of the coral under the light.

thanks

I'm the guy that was selling the frags... The color is difficult to capture well in a photograph. They do tend to look purple in photos. The color if I can explain it is a very deep red color. Think of how deep purple the purple monster is and then make it red. This coral also has white polyps and blue growth tips. I've collected sps for a long time now and this is by far the coolest I have ever seen.

these were taken with the flash...you can see the depth of color..just couldn't get the true red color

It's under 20K Radium at the medium high. The growth very fast.

Mine is under 250w phoenix bulbs halfway up and already getting blue growth tips all over it. Looks like it will be a fast grower. Only had it for a couple weeks now.

One week, right? It's already getting new growth tips in your aquarium?

Fijiblue :"That is a pretty sweet coral! Do you know what species it is? "

A friend of mine researched a little and thought it was Acropora Awi. Looks close, but I'm not totally sure.?
