red dragon

someone at MACI was selling this for $100 for what he said was a 1" frag. It looked more like 1/2" and super thin. $300 for a piece maybe 2" long. :eek2:

the first frag pretty much rtn the next day....and right before i left to go out of town i think i saw the other lil dragon getting white at the base which sucks.....i hope it isn't dead when i get back. i tryed to raise my alk a lil

I heard that WWC haven't around selling their own "version" of the red dragon and it is not the same coral as the original Red Dragon from the originators. That is probably why yours does not look the same as other red dragon pics. I could be wrong though...

i heard the same thing. i believe that they were passing off the new bali pieces as the red dragon, when there is a big difference in color

I saw that - he called the big one a "colony" I have sold things as "mini colonies" that are twice that size....and much cheaper.

I did buy a frag from that tank but I was kind of leery - do you know who they were? I ended up double dipping it and remounting it. feel free to pm me if you do to keep this thread on topic

best pic I could get with my little camera

what acro's growth pattern is the red dragon similar to? is it kind of like a green frogskin ?

Growth is very thin, alot thin than the green frogskin. If I where to describe it, it more along the lines of a pencil tip. It a pretty fast grower. Here an image of mind started from a 1/2" frag a year ago.
