Red flat worms

Levamisole = instant death for these flat worms.

I got the stuff and used it today in my tank, Minutes latter all the flat worms float right off the rocks, I siphon them out and hopefully they will be gone for good.

These worms don't do anything to my corals they are just a nuisance ... Flat worm exit doesn't eradicate them and is very expensive so am glad to have found a cure. All the other worms in the tank are also dying which is cool. :uzi: :wildone:

All the pink spiny worms are dying in rows too :D gotta suck them out tomorrow.

I am going to use this as a dip for flat worms in the future when I get frags. Between this and interceptor I should be able to clean up all the pests before putting corals into my tank.

Tomorrow is too late. You should have taken the time to remove them then. The toxins are now in your system and can wreck major havoc.

Time for a WC and some carbon.

sucked them all out today, I vacuumed most of them last night so it's all good. I am leaving the medication in the tank for another day then I'll do a water change.

I also left out a minor detail, I have been using a powerhead to blow the worms off the rooks and replacing the filter socks constantly to get rid of any worms floating into it and I also have been cleaning my skimmer to keep it working at a high level.

it has been 3 days and the tank is totally cleaned. I haven't done a water change, just a small amount of carbon in the sump. All the fishes survived and all the corals are looking fine.

I am going to do my normal biweekly 20% water change today. Hopefully those flat critters don't come back because if they do, I have another dose ready to go :D

I also did an interceptor treatment before that so if they didn't die from that am sure they are dead now ... lol I only had 2 hermits so am not sure yet.

Also if you are thinking about the whole tank treatment then take a look at PraziPro by hikari also, this stuff kills all flat worms even AEFW, do a search on RC some people reported great success with it.

It has been almost two weeks, and everything survived the treatment. All the red flat worms are gone. Sps finally starting to encrust and coloring up. Chalices are also doing great so all is good in da hood :D am ready to add more corals now. Heading to Neptuneaquatics soon. :D

The bonus was lots the bristle worms and tiny brittle stars also die through this process so I was able to siphoned out tons of them.

Yeah, that was a pleasant bonus. btw, are you going to be home this weekend? I have to drop by and pay you for the wine :D and check out your tank :D

It's barrel weekend coming up so I have to work both days. I can stop by in the afternoon around 5ish, or you can come over in the evening. Either works good for me. I finished building my stand and all I have to do is touch up with the sealant. New sump and frag tank should be on line this weekend. I need a vacation!

ok 5ish would be fine, I'll be home tonight. I might do barrel taste one of the day, do I just get the tickets at one of the winery?

The skimmer is waiting for ya to fire up :D, maybe we can get together and install a delfector chamber to make it even more effective. I have some round acrylic tube laying around.
