red gracilaria temperature range

I'd like to grow some red gracilaria in a 29-gallon tank in my garage. Since I live in Mountain View, CA, the lowest temperature the garage should reach is the low-40's. Does anyone have experience growing this macroalgae in low temperature conditions? I guess I could insulate my tank with some insulfoam in order to save on heating costs too.

I just did some of my own research, and it looks like gracilaria grows between 10 to 30 degrees celsius. Outside the temperature range, it stops growing. At 35 degrees celsius, it falls apart. 10 degrees celsius is 50 degrees fahrenheit. BTW, if anyone has extra red gracilaria in the SF Bay area, I would love to trade. You can check out my gallery and website for frags.
