Red Haddoni and Skunk Clown

Okay, I just bought 5 Orange skunks for my Haddoni.
Do you think that's enough, or should I add more?

I thought one or two would be enough -- how come you want more?

How long have you had the Haddoni? Hopefully the color perks up a bit more. Otherwise, tank looks great, love the xenia in the back :)

Thanks esco,
My hope is to replicate the nature with a big nem + many clown.
I have this nem for about a year.

Be careful. What you don't see in pictures or short videos is that in nature the little clowns often leave the anemone because they get the crud kicked out of them and are replaced by newly settled clowns. The clowns on the bottom of your totem pole will have no where to go and may take quite a beating.

It is worth a shot, just keep an eye open when two of your clowns start to become a pair. FWIW, odd numbers seem to work the best in pecking order situations.

Looking great! I'm hopeful that this will work out for you. From what I've read, skunks are some of the best ones to try this with but as stated, a lot of times the less dominant ones get kicked out.

Looking forward to seeing it in person :)

Sadly, it's very likely you will be down to two or maybe even one clown before too long...

I'm keeping my eyes closely on them.
If they are starting to fight, I will move\give them to friends.
I will just keep a pair only then.
However, I hope/think it will work.

Update. So far so good.
Hope they are getting along forever.

Your Red carpet is very nice. However, I think the last video show that the clowns are pecking around. Maybe having that many will defuse the pecking so that no one will get really hurt from it.
Good luck with them.

Thanks Minh. The clowns are very good so far.
They are even "schooling" far away from the anemone.
If they feel something scares, they will rush to, and hide under the nem.
I understand this is just the beginning, I'm already repaired for the worst.
If they start fighting, I will sell/give them to friends.

Thanks Roni.
There are no other fish in the tank except the 11 skunk clowns.
Sorry, i missed you the other day.
when you come up here again, please let me know.

My favorite clown species. Can never find a pair here its always one lone fish. I'm in fallow right now so I will be ordering some in what feels like forever.
