I have had this guy over a month now .
The last few days about one hour after the lights go out the mouth open up and all I see is white insides.
He is under 10k 400w mh for about 5 hours a day .
Any suggestions.
I cannot post picks.

How long does the mouth stay open for? If he is inverting his stomach than it is a bad sign, but if it is gaping it could mean something is bothering him, or its the beginning of the end for him. Does the mouth close up and stay closed when the lights come on?

He ate in the beginning still sticky.
When the lights are on the mouth is closed.
I have keps hadoni and never had this happen
Thinking of keeping the lights on longer
as stated i cannot post picks

If its still sticky try feeding small amounts and see what happens.

Can you give us more info on your tank? Did you add somthing new in the last week or 2? When i added bio pellets to my tank my haddoin did that for 3-4 days.

I added phosban and carbon .
Stopped after seeing that nem didnt like it .
Anyone else have this happen

have you checked your alk and ph values. i have had it that carbon stripped my alk once stressing all my livestock.. worth a check..

PH is ok will re chech all params .
Thet ate this morning small piece thats a good sign.
Will try feed small every day.

How deep is ur sand?

this happend before sand
they are both attached to rocks on the lower sede with there foot
what makes you think its a sand issue
also alk was low 8.2

Haddonis feet need to be buried in the sand, sometimes larger haddonis require deeep deep sand beds over 4 or 5 inches.

So I can just build up higher around the foot.
This should work.
