Red Liquid from Zoo

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone seen/knows what is the dark red liquid that my pink zoo secrets (it happens when the bud closes), it has done that 3 times that I know about, and it all seems to have started when I used Joe's Juice on an aptisia that was right on it. Any ideas, would be greatly appreciated.

I have been reasding up on the toxin that Zoo's carry and I was wondering if anyone knows whether that toxin is read in color when released or not better yet if anyone can identify what it is, it leaks out of the polyp slowly and disolves into the water quickly so it does not leave a long trail or red out of it, just kind of spills out of it slowly and dis-appears...

mine just did it, i think its liek when an anemone expells waste

I have seen my zoos expelling what looks like poo small brown balls from their mouths, specifically these ones which I feed mysis shrimp almost daily, so you might eb right, but could they have two different forms of waste? I would think that there is another purpose for the red stuff being secreted

I think It may be expelling zooxanthellae , what lightning system do you have ? and for how long have you had the zoos ?

how much light did they have at the store?

I have them for more than 8 months now, I think they were under MH in the store, I have PC ~3.8W/g they are near the top of my tank.

zoo's do excrete waste, believe it or not, beside we all feel better after a good poop-right?

mine wouldnt open for a day once i got them, they "pooed" now they open great!
