Wondering if any one has had luck just growing Red Mangrove in their sump. I do not have any live sand in my sump. I do have live frag indo rock.
I had seen a video of this guy's procedure to generate roots sprouts for red mangroves.
he basically takes pool noodles, those long styrofoam toys for the pool. he makes these 1/2" donuts by cutting them. he places plant stem through and tie wraps plant so it does not slide all the way through hole. places donuts in water and allows to grow. mangroves stay vertical allowing roots to drop downwards.
I am wondering, could I do the same in my sump in the live frag rock area?
therefore allowing roots to entangle themselves into and on the frag rock.
any feedback and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
