Red Open Brain .... turning clear???

I know this is not a good sign!! It still has some ok color to it, but not what it used to look like. What could be the issue? All my water Params are near perfect, PO4 is a little above 1 and my Nitrates were around 5ish???? I'm stumped?

I did recently move it into my 29gal and then had to take it out because my perc. clown was stressing it out. I moved it back into my Nano and then had some issues in there with some algea so I moved the brain back to the 29 and the Clown hasn't messed with it???????? 3 moves in about a month .. maybe that has stressed it ...... actually I'm sure it has.

Tank is a 29gal. 130W of PC lighting ... 2X65W Outer Orbit, Brain sits on the sand at the bottom of the tank?

Any Ideas?

Stress.....
You moved it 3 times, and the ilumination is not the same in both tanks. Try to maintain Water params good.
So leave it in one tank try to feed it if it ever extend the tentacles.

Sounds like it's bleaching from stress. Give it low flow, a semi-shaded spot and feed it LOTS while it's recovering; without the symbiotic zooxanthellae, your brain can't make its own food.
I bought a bleached, recessing open brain for a few dollars and managed to get it healthy - these guys are tough and will recover given time, good conditions and spot feeding. Mine likes mysis, plankton, brine, shrimp and silversides, he's a little piggy :)

Thanks for the reply's ....

I have been feeding it Mysis and shrimp soaked in vitamins (can't recall the name) and haven't touched it. Hopefully he will make a strong recovery.

And jaymz101 ... I don't think PO4 of around 1 is very high. I did a water change yesterday and now the readings are below 1 so I'm good with that!

PO4 over 0.25 can interfere with calcification, 1ppm is actually pretty high for a reef. If you can get that level down a bit it's probably a good idea :)
