Red Robin Stag with interesting colors.

I thought I would share a pic of a Frag Farmer's Red Robin Stag I received from another enthusiast here on RC. I placed the coral very high in the water column and so the top of the coral turned fluorescent green, while the underside stayed somewhat red. I have since moved it lower in the tank to 'color up' and have noticed a major color shift in just the first day.
I'd love to hear experiences from others who have noticed similar behavior in other SPS.

Never saw a red robin stag go green but I guess it can happen to any acro. I've heard it referred to as boring algae? That is one super crisp photo!

Are you carbon dosing? I had a handful of acropora corals change to that green color about a week before they would rtn. It all seemed to be related to a bacteria infection from carbon dosing. No clue what that companies red robin should look like but I know the red robin stag pictures I have seen look much different than yours. Good luck with it!

Thanks Piper. No, I stopped carbon dosing several months ago. I am currently running GFO in my reactor.
I too have seen acros begin to RTN after displaying the same coloration as this one, but it would appear it is doing just fine. In fact, I can see it is still encrusting the frag plug on which it resides. Mind you, it isn't growing as much as the other acros in the tank, so I am sure the coloration is affecting it in some adverse way. Looking at it now, the red color is coming back slowly and the color issue may be remedied by the end of next week.
