Red Scooter Blenny Food.

I am well aware that scooter blennys tend to feed primarily on amphipods and copepods, however, is it possible to get them eating prepared foods? If so, what is the best choice? My guy is pretty small, barely over an inch. I was thinking of some sort of small sinking pellet, but I don't know which one. Any help would be great. Thanks!

i doubt that he would take to pellets. at least mine won't. i switched mine onto frozen brine shrimp. i think he thinks that it is alive and will pick them off of the rocks and sand. you could also try mysid shrimp.

I have frozen brine and frozen bloodworms, I have only had him for a few days, but I want to ensure his health. Any other frozen foods you can think of?

those sound good. plus he will be eating whatever pods he can find. ive heard that some LFS sell pods as well. i havent found one around me yet but you could try that as well.

Mine kicked the bucket. He was eating fine too! There were no significant changes in water chemistry either. I can't explain it.

Sometimes a change in environment causes stress and shock and fish don't recover. Also, what happened to the fish before you got it could have been the problem... It may not have eaten for some time.

Exactly. I had a lawnmower that died w/o reason. SDS for fish.
