red sea berlin classic skimmer

i was wondering if anyone had this skimmer and did the mods to it
1:remove center tube
2:replace venturi with a kent venturi
3:remove venturi alltogether and just use pump with air fed to it
i have a ca 2200 hooked up to it rated 800gph started foaming in the first 30 minutes nothing crazy yet only been running a day i have original venturi in it now

IMO not worth the time. If your going to make it in the hobby this is not the skimmer to do it with.

then what do you suggest .the skimmmer is working and pulling out brown junk i figure i would give it some time and see what it does

If it's working for ya now why mess with it. I'd suggest almost any other skimmer then a red sea berlin skimmer honestly. Maybe not a skilter 250 but really almost anything will be a upgrade for ya.
The new line from octopus is really nice at a cheap price.
