Red Sea Serpent Starfish

I purchased a red sea serpent starfish about 2 weeks ago. It is a brilliant red...all has been frine and yesterday I see pices of its legs just falling off! I researched to see what the problem could be:

stress,sensitivity,water quality,exposure to air...but when I go to Foster and Smith, their care sheet states they are easy and super scavengers...

what to do?

Has it been eating? We have 2 serpents and feed them frozen krill every 2-3 days. I've also seen them take fish pellts (Hikari Marine A).

I thought so, but too late...both of them have died...:-(
