red tiger conch

Hi,

Is anyone familiar with a red tiger conch? I had never heard of them before I picked one up and now I wonder if it is really a conch. It absoluted does not cruise the sand, but instead seems to prefer the rocks and glass.

There's no real snail that is officially a "tiger conch," although a web search shows that about six or seven species from various familes have been called that. Can you post a pic? If it doesn't cruise the sand, it's not a true conch, and is probably predatory.
