Hey guys, on my 80gal, my return has to push water up a 0.5inch (1cm or so) tube befor it hits the piping which is around 1inch (or 2cm) thick. When looking at my sump i see alot of backflow around the pump. SO does this mean i need a stronger pump or should i get a one way valve or somthing?

Well I would not use a one way valve, they tend to get clogged and fail. What kind of pump are you using?

do you just have the half inch pipe stuck in the 1 inch pipe? Is there any sort of adapter?
