Cabinets almost ready for new tank

New tank should arrive Friday. Due to how high it will have to be lifted
in garage and weight we plan on installing it using a for lift.

List of all the goodies for this set up in next post.

Thanks I'm good at cabinets, but still have a lot to learn on the reef tank.

Should have the tank in the hole late Friday or sometime Saturday if all goes as planned. I figure plumbing and electrical is going to take me at least a couple of weeks.

this could turn into one of my favorite builds. furniture is a side hobby of mine that I love and enjoy. beautiful craftsmanship. seamless integration with your existing setup. great work.

Installing the tank. Please don't drop it......

So much to do and so little time....
Plumbing an wiring is going to take at least 2 to 3 weeks at least on my time table.

Awesome build. Do you think the 4 hydras will be enough light or are you planning to supplement with some t5's also?

I'm hoping the 4 Hyrda's will be enough, but would love to here input from anyone on what they think about this.

Your 4 led setup will work, but some T5s will help you with coverage and spectrum.
I saw the area above the tank and thought uh oh  no access.
Then I saw the big doors. :D

I would agree to supplement them with T5's on either side of each or add another one or two. Or maybe 3 Kessels for some shimmer

Still missing a few items. Waiting on another Neptune 832 Energy bar.

Lots of wires to still actually pull and hook up on the left side.

The right side will be similar with return pump, right side MP40, right back side MP10. Also waiting on Genesis Renew pro storm auto salt water change and top off to come in. Most of this will be going on the right side electrical door.

I don't think I realized what I was getting myself into with this build.

I still have more plumbing to go.
I'm hoping to fill it up on Friday 14th if all goes well and see how the plumbing
works and check for leaks.

This is my first reef tank plumbing job I would love to have everyone's thoughts or constructive criticism.

I put RO water in it Friday just to test for leaks and flow.
Hooked up the Genesis Renew Pro + Storm auto saltwater changing system on Saturday and it seems like it is going to work just great.

Still have lots of wiring and figuring out to do.

Waiting on 2 of the Neptune 832 Energy bars that look to be on back order
until at least mid November.

Pumping in some test water to check for leaks.

I was wondering how the Theiling Roller Mats were going
to handle the large amount of water coming into them.
I had to slow down the main drain a good bit in order to keep
the water level from being to high in the roller mat. The second
drain going into the second roller mat worked with no problem.

The Vectra L1 return pump is only running at a little over half power as of now.

I now have the Genesis Renew Pro + Storm auto saltwater changer plus top off set up and working. This is really going to make water change easy. I'm thinking of setting it up to change around 7 gallons a day. This should be right at 10% water change per week.

My left return line runs thru a Teko TK2000 Chiller/heater due to all of this being in the garage I have chill water in the summer.

I have 4 MP40WQD power heads. 2 in back and one on each end. I had originally purchased 2 MPWQD10 for the back only to find out my glass is to thick for them. (Learning a lot as I go on this one)

Hoping to finish wiring it up in the next week or two then drain it and put some rock and sand in.
