Kevin,
You are doing a heck of a job at promoting this hobby, the club and reef-keeping in general. I just wanted to take a moment to say that to you and thank you on behalf of all of us reefers.
For those that complain about the frag pricing, good or bad, it is what it is. The market drives the pricing. If you have great stuff that is rare it's usually expensive. If you are selling common corals that can be found in almost all our tanks then the pricing will reflect it.
Bottom line is this will be the event of events in the reefing community with folks coming from all over the country to browse and observe and, yes probably purchase a few items to take back home. Let's all show them how seriously we take this hobby, behave responsibly, rationally and be good hosts.
Myself I'm looking forward to seeing and interacting with my friends in the hobby. Exchanging tall tales about how well my tank is doing and how little work it is to keep it beautiful.
We're going to have great speakers and you can't put a price on the collective expertise that will be in the room. I encourage anyone who is even remotely thinking of an aquarium to attend. Nowhere on earth can you get the collective experience in one place and have all your questions answered politely for a paltry $5 bill admission fee.
Kevin this is exciting and I see it as a huge success that will soon bring national attention to SCMAS and Reef-A- Palooza.
