reefkoi: have you looked into shipping as air freight?
or use fedex same day you are heading home?
maybe get a vendor to hold and ship for you?

I jsut flew home from Portland, OR and not even mini-water bottles make it through TSA anymore. but once you are on the other side of security you can carry on your jumbo grande latte 40 oz big gulper no problem! LOL!

I could ship it all, but I would leave sunday and that wil be a problem for shipping fedex/UPS I think.
I would want to check it as baggage, but continental had a problem with it being saltwater, but once she got a hold of a few supervisors higher up they cleared me. I hate to run into that bs again.

Alright I just booked it, I have decided I'll wrap the frags in wet newspaper and then bag each one up with no water. I have done this before with SPS and ricordias with great success.
We have a direct flight back to Colorado, only 2 hours so I think they'll be fine this way.
I can't wait, everytime I look at the vendor layout page I am amazed, I think I will see more than MACNA here!

easiest entrance will be via Gate #5 off Arlington on north end of grounds. Parking is FREE except for $5 preferred parking (all organized by OCFEC)

Sadly it looks like I am not going to be able to make it to RAP...

Baby sitting issues prevail, my babysitter is going to be on vacation, so...

It looks like I have to run the business on sat.

So I am putting the other half of my booth up for sale...

This sucks... It is going to be a great time... and my corals are all overgrown ..

How does one walk around with frags / Corals all day? If I show up at lets say 12 or 1pm and I stay the whole day. See something I like from different people, Or buy something and 2-3 hours later see something else. How do you go about it? Tell the vendor to put it on hold, put a sticker saying "SOLD" or what? Would like to hear some people's advice. I have seen some people will bring coolers? So is RAP going to look like a giant airport but instead of suitcases it will be rolling coolers? and if so, will the frags / coral be alright for a few hours in a cooler while walking around and the drive home (at least 1hr 1/2)?

Your frags will be fine. Most of the venders put them in small containers to protet them. They should last a good half day without a problem. If you intend to spend a very long time there ask the vender to keep the frag for you and come back later to pick it up.

Most of them are honest.

There will be air conditioning so frags will be fine all day long. Even over night if you’re traveling from out of state. Some of our sps takes 40 hrs to reach the store in just a styrofoam box on a hot/cold plane.
