Reef a palooza in OC Today Black Clown wil it host and RBT?

Picked up a killer 2 face black ocellaris today at the frag swap, my question is will this host a rose anemone?

my 4 day old Maroon has found and is hosting both of my roses but shows absolutely NO signs of aggression towards my Black ocellaris. the maroon actually left his anemone and swam along side with the Black Ocellaris on multiple occasions. could they possibly mate? just hopping

Possibly mate? Doubt it. My guess is the maroon will kill the ocellaris or stress him something awful.

I'm not hating, i'm telling you what possibly might happen based on personal experience and experience others have had with maroons. They're your fish though, I don't really care what you do.

I agree. 34G tank is too small.

that maroon is tiny and when it gets bigger(not much) you will have one dead ocellars.

you guys may be right.. they are are tiny for now, Black perc is slightly larger and both single, no pairs. They seem to be fine for now... we shall see i'll keep you guys posted.

im a believer that everyones experience is different and i have heard sooooo much false acusations in this hobby that i only believe it when i see it, and so fall what i see is perfect unions..

I've been right where you are, having a maroon getting along great w/ my pair of percs, and telling exp. reefers they don't know what they are talking about, only to come home one day and find that my maroon killed one and badly scarred the other and herself.
Trust the experienced advice you're getting, outcome not looking good.

There have been instances where maroons and ocellais have paired and have had babies, but the odds are not in your favor.
IMO, Morgman raises some of the finest black ocellaris in the country. He told me that he just lost his top breeding female. I would not risk that black ocellaris being damaged in a fight. The black might even start the fight and be damaged in the retaliation.

i would not risk it either most instances where maroons pair with ocellaris the maroon is a full sized female and the ocellaris is smaller that allows the maroon to feel safe that she is in charge.

hey Ace, its Xavier. sorry but im kinda with those guys. usually i wouldnt reccomend having more than one species together, and maroons are one of the meanest species you can get. hopefully, it will all work out but in my PERSONAL experience( everybodies experience is different which is why its a personal not a group experience) the maroon will win. so since the black pair is sooo nice why not jsut return the maroon for some fish food or a nice coral or something rather than wait and find out? let me know homiie,

whats up Xavier, thanx for the info, Everyone completly ignored the the Main question which is whether the black perc will host RBTA.... if so, that sound like a good idea to return the maroon.

im not a know it all, but i have read the books and heard the horror stories about multi species, guess im just excited about both of them, anyway i think i have a pretty white bar maroon for sale

The answer is probably. I may take a couple weeks or even months. I may happen as soon as you remove the maroon.
IME, the chances of the maroon sharing its anemone are not very good.

Most local fish stores will take it that carry saltwater fish and give you a small instore credit.

Oh i caught them getting ready to fight, as you all said (my apologies and thanx to alll who warned me)... the black is actually appraoching the Maroon inside his Nem, so now I got the maroon in QT, he's so sweet and already hosting, if the perc doesnt host ima be [profanity]...!!!
