Thank you all for stopping by and for your nice words. It's very exciting and also very motivating to me that so many of you appreciate what I have done so far. This tells me that maybe I am on the right track and helps me visualising the next step.

I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for a photo update... before you post your kids graduation photos :) You need to post pics soon, before you get the traditional algae bloom.

Did you decide on your pumps?

Are you adding some temporary live rock to speed up coraline algae growth?

Did you try a shade cloth to raise the colour temperature of the Solatubes? Here are the links... http://www.signaturesupplyonline.com/
http://www.polytheneone.com/polytunnel_polythene_sunmaster_smart_blue.htm

Unfortunately these are the only update pictures I have for you Shawn. Peter told me to take it slowly so I said why not another vacation. Don't be sad, I will reserve a vacation for you too but first you guys must decide to have one. :spin3:

No water in the tank yet. I had to take care of the reflectors first and create a system to hold them because after adding the water would have been almost imposible to fix them. Because of the large solatubes I was not able to put all 8 reflectors so I had to use only 5. This is forcing me to use at least two reflectors of 1000W bulbs. If I have to, I will keep those a little higher.

Thank you very much for the links, I will contact them and buy some. I am curious to see how the natural light changes.

This coming week I will get 9 Tunze 6305 and after that I can start to cure the rock and the cement.

From now starts the hard time for me because you know that I'm working on another project + the kids so I don't have much time. I'm going to need everybody's help from now on to succed with this tank.

Thank you for your continuous support.

Great tank and awesome thread!

Hey do you guys know the cure time on the emaco s88 ci cement? I noticed this setup has been exposed to air for a period of time, but will it cure even more under water?

What's the overall cure time?

Thank you blide!

Also thank you mr. wilson for answering because it's the first time I'm using it and I don't know how much it takes to cure.

Andy

Great update! You are enjoying life and your family, it doesn't get any better than that.

Are you sure you aren't in Canada? The pictures look like home to me :)

Good luck with all of your projects, they are in good hands.

A truly amazing build. It was nice finding this thread near the end of the build so I can see the almost finished project. Unless I missed it, I did not see any reference to the controller you will be using for this system. I assume a Profilux, but, perhaps you are thinking of something else.

Hi swiseman!

Thanks for the nice words. You are right, I'm going to buy a Profilux computer because it seems to work for what I need.

Andy

Welcome Back Andy, I was starting to worry! You have a beautiful family, I'm sre they will enjoy your outstanding tank when it is finished. Looking forward to the picture update ;)

Andy. Happy New Year.
I still have high hope with you on those fishes. Don't let me down. Please....

Hi Chingchai! How are you? How is your family?
What about your tank, is everything ok? I have seen your video but for me your tank looks much, much better in reality.

Don't worry about the fish my friend. In a few weeks from now I will go diving myself and look for them. I did not forget what I promise.

......or maybe I catch something else that works for you:

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply.
We are all doing fine.
My tank is doing okay but there is nothing excited at the moment.
Where did you catch those fishes?
They are so huge.

Take care,
Chingchai

Hey Andy,

It's been a while since I'd last posted and after going 'thru the many pages I can't help but love your impressive "penthouse" home and the nicely designed Glass house on the rooftop!! That is a very nice and properly designed home and a room fit enough to house a massive tank ... man that's spectacular indeed!!

How heavy are those rock walls? And who came up with all this neat design for your tank ... it's simply a work of art with a pinch of Salt ... :lol2:!

Keep up the excellent work!!

You ... Andy, ChingChai and nineball are the "Atlantic Indian Triangle"!!

Peter I am very happy for you, you have a lot of nice fish and corals but I belive your tank deserves a lot more animals.
I thing you should have an import just for your tank.
Maybe from Indonesia or directly from a large international wholesaler. I am sure Shawn has some ideas. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

I still have the fish that I promise you, is healthy and in very good shape.

Is the black one:

I must find a way to send it, maybe mr.wilson has some ideas.

Andy the fish looks incredible!!!! I finally got a chance to talk to Mr.Wilson about the best way to get the fish here. He has to be very carefully prepared for the long flight which Mr. Wilson has assured me you know how to do. Then you need to send him and get a weigh bill number so I can track him to the Toronto Destination. Mr. Wilson has offered to help me with the arrival process and paper work at this end when you are ready. I am finally in a position where I can offer him a good home with a decent standard of living! Mr. Wilson ran a number of tests on water quality and I must say I don't think it could be better. I am looking forward to seeing your generous gift in the tank. By the way Andy, does he have a name yet?

You are right, if I try and populate the display tank with frags, I should have it filled in two hundred and fourteen years. I still haven't found a good solution yet but I think the best way to get entire colonies intact will be from the source in indonesia. I have not seen anything from the local fish stores that comes anywhere close to what I need to get me started. One possibility would be for me to go to LA which appears to be the gateway to the North American marketplace and hand pick from a special order. There really is 50 feet of seascape to fill as both sides of the tank are visible and useful to spectators. If I do a close inspection it takes me a full hour to work my way around the tank and as Mr. Wilson will tell you I still miss half the details. The fish room can take another hour on top of that.

One way or another I am going to have to get a big order. When will you be ready to stock your tank Andy, perhaps we might have a joint buy.

I am still looking for the pictures from Orlando. For some reason I have been having difficulty finding them. I forget where and which machine I used to store them. Hang in there, I will find them ......soon I hope.

Peter

Andy just a heads up tunze did have a problem with the 6305 pumps make sure that you get the latest stock as the first batch had wrong components and most would fail after 4-5 months of working- fortunately they replaced them everytime , so Tunze stands by their products that is for great- mine had to be replaced 6 times though so far
