Does the 200 gallon box contain one big bag of salt or multiple small bags? I always have bought the buckets because it's easier to store them that way but was thinking of maybe getting a box next time. Thanks in advance.

I used to buy the buckets, but now that I have 10 or so laying around, I buy the boxes. Check around online for the best deals.

i BUY Kent marine from pet solutions... Fed-ex ground is overnight delivery for me..... Also watch there site and Dr fosters... you can get it as low as 40.00. when it see it that cheap i will buy 2-4 boxes.

I don't buy too often as I've got a 40b and a 20gal sump so I do 10 gal wc's every two weeks. Lasts me a long time. Last I bought was a 160 gal bucket and got it for $35 at PetSmart.

FWIW - last box I got from amazon was hammered, and I didn't pay attention to the weather. There were holes in the bag because of rough handling, and it rained so mine clumped all up. Try to get it delivered on a day its not raining, mine was under the front stoop roof but still got wet.

Those shipments are insured against damage, so you can make the claim with whomever you purchased it from and get a complete replacement. Then get to keep whatever was good from the first shipment. I'd call this a win. :dance:

The UPS guy was not thrilled. Those boxes are HEAVY.

I stopped buying the boxes. They may be more economical but I have had too many bags with holes in them.

My LFS has the boxes for $47 which seems to be cheaper than anywhere online so hopefully they wont have holes in the bag like the ones that come on the truck from UPS or something. I guess we will see soon when I buy one.
