Reef culture?

The last I heard they were going to open mid-march. Does anyone know if that would be this weekend or next? Did they have to push back the opening date again?

It's a new LFS that is being opened by a local named Nick Evans (who has also brought the great resource Skip in to help) in the old location of about the reef on Price in Tempe.

It's been a little slower to open than many of us have hoped, but for reasons that we will all appreciate once they do.
I too have recently heard it looks like they are pushing back a bit so mid April sounds right for now.
 
They have definitely made progress and "appear" to be in the final stretch. Almost all the tanks are plumbed however the builders can't get them the tanks/lights they need fast enough. I was not told an estimated opening date nor will i guesstimate but I will say that the store will blow you away!

They've posted the floor plans on the local forum before. It looks like it will be laid out so much better than ATR was.

If you know the guys maybe suggest putting some kind of update on their web site so people will quit asking. On the local forum they were really good about keeping people informed on progress. That seems to have tapered off since the web site has been up. I even emailed to get a clue on opening before I posted this, Gmail must have filtered the response.
 
Whether they put the projected date on the Web site or here, I know many of us are eager to see them open, and would be happy to know approximately when it might happen.
 
I can only imagine that with all the activity and work being hammered out it, it would get really difficult to keep up with the forums. I will pass the word on though.

I don't think we can really expect them to post updates every day, or even every week, but if something happens that moves the opening date back by a month, that would be a good update to post.
 
I just visited their Web site. It doesn't say "Coming Soon" or "Now Open". I called the phone number listed on the site, and it rang through to a generic voicemail box. (Generic as in "You have reached a [PhoneCompanyName] voicemail box", rather than "Welcome to Reef Culture, located at [address]. Our hours are [x to y].")
