so has anyone used the reef keeper 2 computer system, im setting up my new tank and i want to go all out, was looking at the aqua controller jr. and the reef keeper 2.

anyone have either of these?

Word on the street is that Neptune Aquacontroller III is king of the hill, even for the Jr. version. I'm not impressed by the Jr. version personally because the webserver is a very important feature to me. Lemme see if I can find the link to the comparison of differnet controllers. I'll post back here to see if I can find it, if not, then I won't post back :p

The rk2 is just so much nicer in appearance and i like the fact that it doesn't have a million cables hanging they go in a remote location, but it is like 100.00 more that the ac jr. anyway i am in the market for a controller as well.

yeah i see a lot of benifits to the rk2, and its not much more expensive, the only thing u need is a probe, with the aqua jr you need to purchase everything seperate

I have an rk2 and only have one issue. I have seen an incompatability with some electonic ballasts. They say they had the issue in the rk1 and (nearly) eliminated it in the Rk2.

What happens is the unit will randomly reset itself during the day.

I have taken numerous steps to try to eliminate it but have not been successful. They tell me at digital aquatics that I can buy an expansion port that will put the ballasts on a seperate circuit to eliminate the issue. IMO The right thing to do was to just ship me the 40$ part or at least make mention of the known problem on the web site.

Features I would like would be the ability to dose by day of week.
and the ability to turn off a closed loop during the night and still be able to disable it during feedings.

Other than the above, its a really nice piece of equipment and easy to program.
