Ive been reading up on this and was wondering if you can program powerheads to a wavemaker mode...which powerheads can i use for that?

you can turn powerheads like the koralia on and off, though it is far from a wavemaker. turning them on and off quickly will kill the pumps over time. I use the feature to alternate two pumps in the display every 30 minutes, works great.

Vortechs are pretty good for use. Koralia has controllable powerheads and a wavemaker system. But using a controller for just regular powerheads is probably not the best idea and can possibly burn out the pumps rather quickly.

second that - tunze wavebox. just watch the seams on the tank over time.

I love the vortechs and am rocking two of them in my 120, for wave's the tunze wave box is pretty impressive!

yea vortechs are expensive but awesome for alternating currents
